Engagement Vows

One year from this day, Erik and I will share the biggest day of our lives thus far…our wedding. On that day we’ll exchange vows that will last forever. For now, however, I will make these vows to him:

I vow to not be a bridezilla at any point during our engagement.

I vow to never use the words “It’s my day” under any circumstances.

I vow to not wear a tiara during our wedding because I am not a princess nor do I wish to be a princess on that day.

I vow to look like myself and be fully recognizable when I walk down the aisle.

I vow to not expect perfection and I will find the humor in whatever may not go as planned.

I vow to not let our wedding become this mass production that is more about things than about us.

I vow to focus more on our marriage than our wedding.

I vow all of these things because I will always love you more than the day before.
